My 45 of "I Heard It Through The Grapewine", Tamla 54176, states a run time of 2:59 but actually runs 3:10

Bjorn, I've already done several thousand Top 40 hit 45 timings, starting with 1970, and then going through more recent years' hits. So far, I've ONLY timed 1960's hits (my personal favorite era) if someone's raised a specific question about a song on the Board, so you've chosen the right decade to work on here. I guarantee that you will find MANY 60's songs requiring listed/actual time corrections, and I want to personally thank you, for taking the time to both clock the actual timings, and then post your results. You're already making one of my 2008 projects much less daunting! Bjorn, if there are any 60's songs that you're curious about, but you don't happen to have an original U.S. 45 for it, just ask me. I've got over 80% of them, and I'll do my best to help you.

Jim, I appreciate that. I will come up with a list some later on.

As any of the regular board readers here can attest, Jim has been nothing short of tremendous with the countless number of 45 timings he's tirelessly provided on this message board over the past couple of years. Needless to say, Jim, I'm excited to learn of your 2008 plans to report 45 run times for '60s hits since I'm slowly moving toward concentrating on that era of my Top 40 CD collection (but I'm already VERY well aware of the plethera of music-related projects you currently have on your plate, so of course there's no hurry, sir!). It'll also be great to see more notations in the database for '60s hits. So Jim, Oddbjorn, and anyone else possessing promo, stock 45, and LP info for Top 40 hits from this era, feel free to pass it along whenever the spirit moves you!
