The Joel Whitburn book lists a time of 3:27, but my commercially available SBK 45 has a printed and actual run time of 3:30.
Here are instructions for creating the 45 edit from the LP version:
Keep the first 24 beats from 0:00.0-0:12.0.
Remove the 16 beats from 0:12.0-0:19.7.
Keep the 135-1/2 beats from 0:19.7-1:25.2.
Edit after the word "over", between beats.
Remove the 48 beats from 1:25.2-1:48.4.
Keep the 32-1/2 beats from 1:48.4-2:04.2.
Edit on downbeat.
Remove the 32 beats from 2:04.2-2:19.7.
Keep the 128 beats from 2:19.7-3:21.7.
Remove the 64 beats from 3:21.7-3:52.7.
Keep the 112 beats from 3:52.7-4:46.8.
Insert a 16-beat sinusoidal fade on the last 16 beats, from 4:39.1-4:46.8.
The mixdown has edits at 0:12.0, 1:17.4, 1:33.3 and 2:35.2, with a 16-beat sinusoidal fade from 3:21.7-3:29.3.
My timings are from the LP version, which I have on a promotional sampler called Schwartz Brothers Compact Disc Sampler Volume 4.
