Based on database comments, it can be deduced that the commercial 45 run time for Heart's "Dog & Butterfly" is 4:50. Does a short DJ 45 exist for this song? I imagine many Top 40 radio stations in 1979 would've preferred to play a shorter version or length.

Todd, I only own promo copies for this. But both the mono and stereo sides do have listed & actual times of (4:47), and is just an early fade of the LP version. And who knows, maybe this "a bit longer than normal" promo 45 length WAS partially responsible for its Billboard peak position of only #34?
