The commercial 45 is listed as "Edit", with a printed time of 3:52, an an actual time of 3:52.
This a very easy edit from the LP version.
Just remove the intro - the first 20.8 seconds. The actual edit is at the downbeat, so you'll remove the first hi-hat sound before the downbeat.

Does the full version exist on 45 anywhere? I purchased the reissue single (backed with The Motown Song) and was disappointed that this side was an edit (the music video i saw on tv had the full intro, which is largely missing from the 45) and the Motown Song on this reissue says it is a remix (and it is, a terrible one at that). Why I've still got this 45, I do not know...

Hi Tom,
Although you certainly have a valid opinion, keep in mind most CHR/Top-40 stations played the 'edit' (without intro) version of "Rhythm Of My Heart" & the 'remix' (WITH new intro) of "The Motown Song". Both versions were the original commercial 45s.

Have seen some UK 45's of this song, but no length listed.
