A 4:19 version fo Goodbye by the Spice Girls has shown up on their new "Greatest Hits" cd which is much shorter than the LP or commercial cd single so does anyone have a dj copy of this cd single to determine where this 4:19 version comes from?

Pat, I'm sure I've got a promo CD single for it back at my place, and I will be happy to provide full details to you as soon as my laptop is repaired and back in my possession. Unless, of course, someone else can help you out before then.

My Promo Only CD has a "Radio Edit" that runs 4:10. This same edit shows up on a TM Century CD, but their web site only lists the air time and not the full run time. This doesn't help answer your question, Pat; however, it's possible that my copy is faded early, and the Greatest Hits is the correct length. (Occasionally, Promo Only will fade out a track a few seconds early to accomodate 20 or 21 tracks on the disc.)

This is probably the UK single - Virgin VSCDT 1721 - a "Radio Edit" that runs 4.18. The same version is on "Now Music 42" (EMI/Virgin/PolyGram CD NOW 42 - 1998) - which also runs 4.18.

Pat, just to follow up with you, I did just check my 1998 promo CD singles, and I don't appear to have one for the Spice Girls "Goodbye". We were also heavily into using those same Promo Only CDs, that Aaron referenced above. We probably played it off of there, but I still would've tried to grab a promo CD single if I ever saw one, which I apparently didn't in this case - my apologies.
