My commercial 45 is designated as 7" Edit (printed and actual 4:13).
Here are instructions for creating the 7" Edit from the LP version (timings taken from an mp3 file of unknown origin):
Keep 0:00.0-4:02.9 of the LP version.
Edit on snare immediately following the word "promise".
Remove the 32 beats from 4:02.9-4:18.9.
Keep 4:18.9-4:32.1 (end) of LP version.
Then, pitch the whole thing up by 1%. (My 45 runs 121.0 BPM, the mp3 file runs 119.8 BPM.)
