Edtop40 has pointed out to me that the commercial 45 of Franke & The Knockouts' "You're My Girl" is considerably different from the version that appears on the Sweetheart Collection CD (Razor & Tie 82185). The 45 is a remix that contains an additional guitar during the introduction and a tambourine overdub that plays throughout the entire song. The version on the Sweetheart Collection CD, which I presume is the LP version, has the drums and keyboards placed more prominently in its mix. The 45 version runs 2:47 and has yet to appear on CD.

Just got a stock 45 in for this one. Correct, the 45 version CANNOT be recreated with the LP version, as there are additional guitar overdubs etc. on the intro as you pointed out. Listed an actual time of the stock 45 is 2:42.
