My commercial 45 has both a listed and actual time of (3:30). I only post this info because all 12 of the current database CDs which feature this song have run times ranging between (3:46) and (3:51). Obviously, there was some sort of edit/fade utilized here, to create the 1976 (3:30) 45 version.

I don't remember the exact edit points, but there was a markedly shorter intro before vocals on the 45 version.

That's correct, Andy. To obtain the 45 version, one would need to edit from the :05 to the :21 mark on the LP version and then fade it out slightly earlier.
