My commercial 45, which is mono and confirmed as Motown 1142, has a listed time of (2:18), but an actual time of (2:22).

Pat:
According to the database, mono CD appearances of Diana Ross and the Supremes & the Temptations' "I'll Try Something New" run 2:22-2:24, while stereo ones clock in between 2:17-2:20. What's particularly interesting about this is the comment "45 mix" appears next to the CD title Diana Ross & The Supremes and the Temptations Joined Together – The Complete Studio Duets (Motown B0001624) which features the song in mono. However, none of the other CDs in the database containing "I'll Try Something New" have a "45 mix" or "LP mix" notation attached. Is this an oversight, or is the "45 mix" comment for the aforementioned CD listed in error?

Todd, that comment was taken directly off the cd jacket of the Motown B0001624 cd. After listening to the other mono versions of "I'll Try something New" I agree that there is a dedicated mono mix of the 45 version of this song.
