JOAN JETT & THE BLACKHEARTS - "Crimson And Clover"

The actual commercial 45 running time is (3:17), the listed time is "3:14" on the record label (Boardwalk NB7-11-144)

I find mention here of a "special AOR remix."

Anybody have any idea if there really WAS a remix of Crimson & Clover?

Were there ANY variations of the recording that, as far as I know, were identical both on the LP and the 7"?

I've never heard any variation of this recording, no matter which source I used... but this label got me wondering.

The AOR Remix was on a 12" single. Saw one but never got a chance to play it. WATO used the 45 on air.

That's good info, to know that one has been seen "in the wild." Now if I could just find a copy. :)

Thanks for the update!

OK, a friend has picked up the "AOR Mix" and as far as I can tell, there is ZERO difference between it and the version found on most CDs.

This link will let you download a FLAC file with the "AOR Mix" (mono summed) in the right channel and the CD (also mono summed) in the right channel.

There is some obvious dynamic compression on the CD, and the vinyl actually sounds a little brighter to me... other than that, I hear no difference... do you?
