does anyone know if the promo cd single box set by arcadia often for sale on ebay contains the 45 "single version" that runs 4:11?
the item is listed as the 7 inch mix but only runs 4:01 and NOT the usa 45 version run time of 4:11

I don't know, Ed, but after looking at different ads for that Arcadia CD singles set, I'm fairly sure it's a bootleg... which means most of it was probably mastered from vinyl.

does anyone know if the correct 45 single version is on the japan dvd of "so red the rose".....it says it's the single version running 4:08 which is close to the 4:11 45 version...

If it's a music video DVD, you'll have to be careful about two things:
1 - Is the DVD coded using the NTSC format? If not, you can't play it in an Amercian DVD player.
2 - What's the source of the videos? Even if it came directly from the video master, chances are the sound will be somewhat hissy...similar to a cassette tape.
