I know Pat indicates that the vocals start differently on the stereo version of this song compared to the mono version, however I can't tell them apart. My ears are usually pretty good to me too! Can anyone (Pat?) point out the difference. It would allow me to sleep sound tonight...hehe

The opening "ooh" before Diana starts singing is timed differenly.

Stereo: Buh buh buh-buh "Ooooh"

Mono: Buh buh buh-buh [beat] "Ooh"

The "ooh" comes in half a beat later on the mono single version.

On the remix on "Supremes #1s," they did an interesting thing: they used BOTH. One is in the right channel and one is in the left channel.

WOW! thanks, Brian. without a WAV editor to see that extra beat, my ears just couldn't detect that one beat later "ooooh" in the 45 mix. When I put them both in Adobe Audition, it became clear to me, and now I hear it. i spent too much time listening for differences in Diana's lead vocal!

My special, one-sided Motown 1075 promo 45, with machine-stamped
deadwax info of "ZTSC104218-1 B", has a listed time of (2:50), but an actual
time of (2:54).

My stock 45 copy, also confirmed as Motown 1075, has the identical
deadwax and listed/actual times as my promo 45 does, with the only
difference being the inclusion of a B-side ("Whisper You Love Me Boy").
