my commercial cassingle issued as atlantic 88774 does not state a version on the cassingles sleeve or the cassingle's face but is an edit on the full length cd/lp version which runs 5:21.....the cassingle version runs 4:48 and is identical to the "single version" from the promo cd single listed as atlantic pr3048-2

Can the single version be created from the LP? I just bought the commercial CD single and assumed that if the cassingle had the "single mix", so would the commercial CD single. Well..I was wrong...LOL
Can the LP version be edited to create the 45 version?

Do you know why that is? Is it a different mix or is there something included on the single mix that doesn't appear on the LP?

Over the single version intro the guitar strings and the snare drum every second is removed. In fact only the last four percussion hits before the downbeat of the main instrumental part at :12 are retained. Plus, if my memory serves me correctly, the intro is shortened by about seven seconds.

Fetta can you please pass along the commercial cd single information like running time and any description given on the cd as to what version is included so I can enter that information in the database?

Pat,
The commercial CD has a listed time of 5:15 with no mention of a version. Here is how it is listed on the back of the CD and on the CD itself (I will try to scan at work tomorrow if I get a chance):
1) Another Day In Paradise (5:15)
2) Saturday Night and Sunday Morning (1:25)
3) Heat on the Street (3:59)
Please let me know if I can provide any additional information.
