although not in the db because of it's low billboard peaking position of number 40 in may of 1990......the song non-the-less is followed by us top 40 purest......my commercial cassingle issued as jam city 5003 does not state a version or run time on the sleeve or cassingle itself, but does run 4:13...i only note this because on allmusic.com, all the versions on cd to date, run under 4:00....i can't recall where i picked up the proper cassingle version, but i do have it on cdr.....jim, do you have any info you could add from the usa promo cd single of this song??

I'm trying to pin down the cassette single version. Does anyone know if that version starts with Pee Wee Herman yelling, "I'm trying to use the phone!"?
Yeah, Pee Wee Herman. It's on YouTube.

The 12 inch version (and cassette single) is 4:13. That's the version with the spoken yelling intro you refer to for about 20 seconds.
https://www.discogs.com/Timmy-T-Time-After-Time/release/8971 89
It is available overseas on a rare import CD that I found which I prefer over the cassette.
The version without the spoken word intro times in at 3:53 and starts at the beat. This version can be easily found.
The radio edit is 3:24 and has appeared on cd. It does not appear on the cassette. Something called 96 mix does.
There is a 3:04 edit available overseas but I don't recall ever hearing that on radio.
Hope that helps.

The promo CD listed above in Jim's post from 2009 has the version with Pee Wee at the very beginning, followed by a spoken part over the beat.
