Having recently resubscribed to the database, I've been in the process of relisting my various artists CDs.

When I got to this volume of Time-Life's Classic Rock series, I found that the database lists Manfred Mann's "Do Wah Diddy Diddy", the Zombies' "She's Not There" and the Swinging Blue Jeans' "Hippy Hippy Shake" on it with no notation. However, these tracks do not appear on my copy of the CD. Since there are notations of other tracks that were or weren't on various pressings, my guess is that they appear on a pressing other than my own. Pat?

Also, when it comes to these multiple pressings of the same CD, is there a way to determine which one I have other than piecing together information about the various tracks as listed in the database? So far, this issue has only surfaced with Time-Life series.

The wonderful folks at Time-Life have actually issued 3 different versions of this "Classic Rock 1964" cd all of which have the same catalog number of 2CLR-03. Usually you cannot discover which pressing you have unless you look at the matrix number stamped into the cd on the playing side around the inner ring of the cd. This matrix number will state RE-1 for the first revision and RE-2 for the 2nd revision. Normally you cannot tell by looking at the exterior packaging if the cd is the original or RE-1 or RE-2 but in this specific case, the cover art is different from the original pressing to the RE-1 and RE-2 pressings. Also, the RE-1 version has "Warner Special Products OPCD-2555A" printed on the back of the cd while the original pressing is just "Warner Special Products OPCD-2555". On the RE-2 pressing, Time-Life went back to the original identification on the back cover of "Warner Special Products OPCD-2555". Confusing -- yes!
