So, all the entries in the database indicate (lp speed) and Stereo.
Is the 45 in mono? Is there only 3 seconds difference in speed between the 45 and lp?
Has anyone found a true 45 version on an import CD?
Finally, anyone else love this song?

Don't have the answers to your questions except the first and last ones.
The 45 is mono.
Yes, I love this song too.

If you speed the LP version up to run 2:00, then you have the 45 version? Or, are there mix differences? Just says a speed issue in the DB.

Hard to tell for sure about mix differences with a song of this vintage. A fold-down of the stereo sounds thinner than the mono single, but that's pretty common with songs like this that sound like they were recorded 3-track.

Has anyone determined if you can re-create the single version by simply speeding up the LP version to a run time of 2:00?

Yes, Dave, that is my understanding, based on a previous review done a few years ago.

i can concur with jim....with my new found skills of music
editing, i've pitched up the cd version that runs 2:04
(75.32bpms) to 1:59 (78.50bpms) and was able to replicate
the true vinyl 45 version.....i don't here any mix
differences....just the usually stereo/mono anomalies....
