my commercial 45 issued as grunt 13439 states a run time on the label as 3:08 and does indeed run that length and is an edit of the full length 3:50 version.....thx for the excellent edit, john!!!...the 45's run time s/b noted in the db....

Can anyone list the edit points for the single version
of Winds Of Change for recreation? I wasn't aware there
was a short version on a promo 45.

To Promojunkie:
I believe both the commercial AND the promo 45 were the
same 3:08 edit of the LP version.
I am not able to give you the exact details, but I seem
to recall the 45 faded in a couple of seconds before the
full band kicked in, and the record faded out on the
guitar solo rather than ending cold.

Thank you Andy. That was a good start. I did discover
there is an edit that cuts 2:25 - 2:36 of the song. The
fade in seems odd. I would have just cut at the first
beat at :20
