In the database, there is only a listing for the "censored" and "uncensored" version of Jay-Z's "Big Pimpin'." There are at least three different versions of this song---the censored LP version, the uncensored LP version, and the radio edit that appears on DJ copies of the single and the video for the song.
The version on the promo CD single, promo 12" & video has a different vocal take and an additional rap verse by Jay-Z toward the end. (I believe they also removed one of the verses by UGK to include the new Jay-Z verse.) Also, this alternate vocal take changes many of the lyrics to make them clean, whereas the censored LP version simply mutes the objectionable words. I believe most radio stations played this version.
I do not own any commercial copies of "Big Pimpin'" and I don't even know if any exist. Does anyone have any info? In any case, there probably should be a notation in the database about the difference in the DJ version, which is called the "Radio Edit" and runs (4:05).
