my commercial cassingle issued as a&m 1874 states the version as "edit" with a listed run time of 4:30 but actually runs 4:31....this cassingle info s/b added to the db

No, it features a few edits in addition to an early fade.
This version was featured on the 2-track commercial single
while the commercial 4-track maxi single instead featured
the full length lp version.
The "edit" version was used for the music video as well.
