I've discovered some confusion around the compilation "The Story of the Moody Blues...Legend of a Band":
1. The label wasn't consistent with the disc title. The artwork/inlays list the album's clunky title (above), but the disc itself reads only "Greatest Hits." The database lists only "Greatest Hits." Pat, you might want to add the longer title as well.
2. The database lists the songs as though they were on two separate discs: "Threshold 840659" and "Threshold/Polydor 840659." These should probably be folded into a single listing.

Well it was easy to change the label deisgnation over to "Threshold/Polydor" but on my copy of this compilation, there is no designation anywhere, either on the cd jacket or on the cd itself that says "The Story Of The Moody Blues...Legend Of A Band". My copy is absolutley a US pressing so I wonder if your copy Eric was pressed outside of the US?

I have this compilation too and like Eric said, The inlay & artwork have "The Story of the Moody Blues... Legend of a Band" while the disc itself is titled "Greatest Hits." Both are listed as P2-40659.
Now what you may or may not know, is that the version of the CD that you and I have is actually the second pressing. It was originally released in 1989 as "Greatest Hits" with different artwork but the same track listing in 1989. In 1990, the "Legend of the Band" version was released. I had the original on cassette and by the time I upgraded to CDs, the new one was out. From what I recall, both had the same versions of the songs, including the re-recordings of "Question" and "Isn't Life Strange."
As for why they didn't update the disc title for the new release, I don't know. Maybe an oversight? Maybe the new title wouldn't fit on the CD? Who knows?

Same here - my CD is white, the insert is blue, and both have different titles. Odd.
At one point, I owned a promo CD single of the rerecording of "Question". (At least I think it was "Question" - I could be mistaken.) The single had the same white background as the GH disc we're discussing. I'm pretty sure it was a promo because I wouldn't have paid actual $ for it.

RichM921 is correct. The album was actually issued w/ BOTH titles here in the U.S.; first in 1989 as "Greatest Hits" w/ a mainly white cover, and then re-issued a year or two later as "Legend of a Band", w/ the completely new (mostly blue) artwork - apparently the label didn't feel it was worth changing the title/art on the discs themselves, though. Both editions feature the same track listing/song versions and catalog no. (RichM921, the different catalog no. you give indicates that your copy is a record club version.) IMO, Pat should probably list all of the songs separately under BOTH album titles in the database...
I remember seeing both versions in stores at the time (on both cassette & CD), and had forgotten why the title & cover art changes had been made until I found this explanation from a Moody Blues fan on Amazon, who was responding to the review of another buyer who was also confused by the different title/art on his disc vs. the cover:
