my 45 runs 4:34 and the 45 face states the run time as 4:34............in your listing you state that the 45 runs 3:33 and the lp version runs 4:34........is it possible you might have a dj copy which you are referencing..........

Yes that is exactly what has happened. Actually the dj 45 runs 4:34 and 3:33 on the other side.

Has anyone attempted to recreate the 'DJ edit'?

From what I'm seeing online, the 45/DJ edit is a remix? Anyways, placed an order yesterday for the DJ 45.

I only have the promo of this, but as I recall the dj copies just have an early fade as opposed to a cold ending on the commercial copies. I'm guessing that the "remix" refers to the album version vs 45, not the promo vs stock...Warner Bros-distributed labels seemed to do this a lot.

Thanks for the info, Hykker. I would think that Pat would designate '45 length' vs. 'dj 45 edit' in the database if it were just an early fade.

After receiving my promo in for this, the 3:30 listed, 3:32 actual 'Edit' side sounds the same as the LP version, except as Hykker note, an earlier fade starting at 3:21 and ending at 3:32.
Perhaps, the only slight difference might be slightly more echo in the promo version.
Thoughts? Would this be a 'length' vs. 'version' description for those familiar with the promo 45?
