My commercial 45 (confirmed as A&M 787, is styrene, with deadwax of "A+M 1168") has a listed time of (2:48), but an actual time of (2:54). FYI, all 6 of the current database CDs that include this song feature the (4:20)+ stereo LP version.

interesting note here.....my commercial 45 isssued as a&m 787 states the run time on the label as 2:48 and runs 2:54 like jim's......the vinyl 45 version is a "live" version......has this live vinyl 45 version show up anywhere on cd?.....domestic or import?....it's not mentioned in any of whitburns books that the vinyl 45 is "live".....anyone know where this "live" version originated from?

I can't answer it. Both US vinyl LPs of "Four Siders" and "Greatest Hits" include "studio version."

Thanks for the info, ed! I'm a Herb's fan and impressed with hearing "Live version" on You Tube.

This one is really not a "live" recording. The 45 just had some fake crowd noise dubbed-in. Check out the explanation under the album "Going Places" at http://www.tijuanabrass.com/tjb1.php
