The database indicates "(S) (3:54) Jive 8213 and 1222 Suddenly"
The title tune "Suddenly" on the vinyl LP (Jive JL 8-8213, US pressing) runs (3:50) (The listed time is "3:55".) FYI: The 45's actual running time is (3:51).
Is the album CD slower than another CDs?

I listened to "Suddenly" as it appears on my copy of Billy Ocean's Suddenly CD (Jive 1212) and it actually has a run time of 3:50 just like on your vinyl LP, Abagon. Perhaps Pat could double-check his Suddenly CD pressing(s) and confirm if the track really does run 3:54 as currently shown in the database.
And thank you, Abagon, for providing the actual and printed vinyl LP run times for "Suddenly"!

Thanks for providing the actual running time on the "Suddenly" album CD, Tood! I'll keep posting differences between running time of the vinyl LP (US only) and indicated time on the database, when I've found it.

The (3:54) time of the original "Suddenly" cd is correct but that is because it runs slower than the vinyl 45 or LP.

My CD pressing of Billy Ocean's Suddenly plays at pretty much the same speed as all other CDs I have containing the title track, so it appears Pat may have an early CD pressing where "Suddenly" was inadvertently mastered at a slower speed and then subsequent pressings were issued shortly after at the correct speed. I bought my copy sometime back in 1989-1990 and there are two separate matrix numbers stamped on the disc's inner ring: "W.O. 11092-1" and "JRCD8213".

Todd, I may have solved the issue here. On my cd in very small print it says made in Japan. I'll bet your cd was pressed in the US could you check? My matrix number does not match your matrix number.
