Ed, this is very useful info... Do you have the actual run time info for your "On Bended Knee" promo CD single (tracks 1, 2, and 5 in particular)? I have the first two tracks on a UK import CD single and their actual run times differ significantly from your listed times:

1) Pop Edit - 4:32
2) LP Version - 5:29

Although I do not own the promo CD for this one, my TM Century disc has two versions--Radio Edit and LP Version. The Radio Edit is a unique mix and is not simply an edit of the LP Version. The most obvious difference is the drum overdub. Is the Pop Edit the same mix as the LP?

To update this thread, the "Pop Edit" does not have additional drums like the "Radio Edit." The "Pop Edit" seems to be simply an edit of the LP version. EDITED TO ADD: This version has an instrumental passage in place of the spoken part.

Also, I just discovered that there is another promo CD single, which I do not own. It has catalog number 374631251-2. The tracks are in a different order as the other promo that Ed mentions above, but it does appear to have the same five tracks.

I finally obtained a copy of the promo CD single with catalog number 374631251-2. As I suspected, it's simply a reshuffling of the tracks from the other promo CD.

1. LP Version (5:29 listed; 5:29 actual)
2. Radio Edit (4:19 listed; 4:17 actual)
3. Instrumental (5:29 listed; 5:29 actual)
4. A Capella (5:05 listed; 5:04 actual)
5. Pop Edit (4:15 listed; 4:15 actual)

Does anyone know which version of Boyz II Men's "On Bended Knee" is the one with the instrumental bridge (without the spoken part in the middle?) I was hearing it earlier on Sirius/XM's 90's channel. I know I've heard the same edit before on other radio stations so I know it's not a custom edit. Any idea if it's one of the edits listed above or is it yet another single or promo that was released by the label around that time?

----EDIT----

Here's a link to the mix I'm referring to on YouTube. They have it listed here as the "CHR Radio Edit" but I can't find any info regarding this version anywhere online except on this video.

Yes, this is the Pop Edit from the promo CD single. Track 1 of the first promo CD and track 5 of the second promo CD single contains this edit with the instrumental in place of the spoken part. By contrast, the "Radio Edit" is a slight remix and does contain the spoken part.
