Database entries indicate a 2:30 running time on many CD's and a 2:36 run time on DJ and commercial 45. Does anyone know what accounts for the six second difference?

Does anyone have a DJ or commercial 45 they could time? I'm wondering if 2:36 is the listed time.

The mono promo 45 has one side listing a 2:36 run time and the other shows 3:43. I haven't had a chance to time either side. Sorry.

(Edit: changed stereo promo to mono promo - thanks, Bill)

This was first issued to radio as a DJ copy and a stock copy with a 2:36 label time, with the clever intro edit getting rid of the long intro. My two DJ copies which have Younger Men Get Older on the B side time out to 2:30 on "Here Comes The Sun", off by six seconds.

Some radio stations started playing the longer LP version so they put out a new stock copy with the full 3:43 version (as REV-L) and a DJ single as Gary Mack notes, 2:36/3:43, only my copy runs 3:46/3:45, as the alleged short side (REV-S) is actually the full version but slightly slower.

Gary I don't think it's a stereo promo single, the ST on the label is probably the abreviation MGM used for "Stormy" (Stormy Forest, the label), not stereo.

Sounds like what I suspected. 2:30 is the run time, 2:36 the listed time according to Bill.

I got a 3:46.5 run time for the "short" side, although it is marked 2:36. And while I haven't timed the "long" 3:43 side, that mix is noticeably muddier. The "short" side is crisp. clean mono but the other side sounds like someone didn't clean the playback head.
