There are no promo details for "Take A Bow" listed in the database. At least 3 US promo CDs exist, two with remixes. I would presume most radio stations played cut 1 from the following disc:
PRO-CD-7277
1. Edit (listed 4:31)
2. Album Version (listed 5:21)
I don't have the disc to check actual run times; however, I have a copy of the "Edit" on a TM Century disc. I also have the GHV2 CD, and the version contained on it is the "Edit" from the promo CD. The notation in the database should probably list "this is the DJ edit" instead of "edited."

This is freaky - I am editing the 12" single (which has the LP version) as we speak. I was guessing that only the last chorus repeated twice. But I checked the video, and it checks out at 4:31 as well. I guess all chorus parts only repeat once.

Well I was transferring some records to the PC yesterday and this song was one of them. On my 12" disc, I have the LP version, and the last two instances of the chorus repeat twice before going to "Saaaaay, aaaaay Goodbye. I remembered that the radio edit cut the middle one at (I'm guessing 3:01 to 3:25 on the upbeat on "say" - that's what I used), but I didn't realize that there was also a cut on the last chorus (I used 4:22 to 4:47 on the upbeat "say"). I went on YouTube and the video did show both choruses as edited.
I didn't know if they were the right edit spots for the radio version so I came on here expecting to search through the forum, but it ends up Aaron had just posted something about this song (which I thought was the "freaky" part...lol).
Any way, sorry to be confusing.

Aaron, I own all three promos. I added the actual times to your
initial post, and I also concur with your "Cut 1" airplay presumption; it's
the one we played in 1995. Here are the details for the other two:
-Madonna-"Take A Bow" Remixes (PRO-CD-7323-R)
1-InDaSoul Mix (listed 4:57; actual 4:56)
2-Album Edit (listed 4:31; actual 4:30)
3-Silky Soul Mix (listed & actual 4:10)
4-InDaSoul Instrumental (listed 4:57; actual 4:55)
5-Silky Soul Instrumental (listed & actual 4:10)
6-Album Instrumental (listed 5:20; actual 5:19)
-Madonna-"Take A Bow" Remixes/Edits (PRO-CD-7360-R)
1-InDaSoul Edit (listed 4:00; actual 4:01)
2-InDaSoul Mix (listed 4:57; actual 4:56)
3-Album Edit (listed 4:31; actual 4:30)
4-InDaSoul Instrumental (listed 4:57; actual 4:55)
5-Album Instrumental (listed 5:20; actual 5:19)

Jim, am presuming that the album edit matches the edit on the intial promo CD that Aaron posted details for.
