Ed brought up a good point about Das EFX "They Want EFX." Commercial copies, which were only issued on cassette single, contain the "Remix," which is truly the 45 version. Most CDs have the "LP version" which has a completely different backing track and a very cool James Brown sample. (The video for the song uses the LP version.)
By the way, if you're looking for the 45 version on CD, the only two places I have ever seen it is on the promo single, which is very hard to find, and on TM Century's HitDisc library. The version on MTV Party To Go 4 IS the 45 version, but it segues together with other tracks on the disc.
He also brought up the point that the cassette single of "Check Yo Self" (Ice Cube feat. Das EFX) has the "Radio Remix - The Message" version, which would also be the 45 version. The only full-length CD that this is available on is the edited version of Ice Cube's Greatest Hits CD. The LP version of this one is completely different--both the vocal take and backing track are different, although the lyrics are similar.
