my commercial 45 and cassingle for the snap song "ooops
up" issued as arista 2060 states the run time on the
label as 4:28 but only runs 4:27.....this one i've never
been able to find in it's single format on any cd, promo,
single, import or album....i do have two promo cd singles
which contain various versions, but NOT the 45/cassingle
version...
us promo cd single ascd 2092
1-radio edit (3:53 listed; actual)
us promo cd single ascd 2071
1-radio remix (3:59 listed; actual)
2-album edit (4:04 listed; actual)
3-the burn rubber remix (6:17 listed; actual)
question is....has anyone ever tried to re-create the
cassingle/45 version from these component parts....i
think it can be done because the radio edit version is
very similar to the 45 except it edits out one of the
versus which i believe is available elsewhere...

I own the same two promo CDs that Ed does. The Radio Edit and Radio Remix is the same on the promo CD as it is on the cassingle, but it's a censored version and 30 seconds shorter. The cassette single is uncensored.
The Burn Rubber Remix is not the same remix as the Radio Edit or Radio Remix, so it cannot be used. Also, I don't recall there being any difference between the Radio Edit and Radio Remix, other than the length.
There are import CD singles with different mixes, but I don't own them to verify which ones (if any) have the same remix as the cassingle and if they are uncensored.

After many years of searching, I finally came across a rare CD that has the US 45 version of "Ooops Up." It's on a Canadian promo CD sampler called BMG Pop Promo CD Volume 7.
