Does anyone know if a stereo 45 of Crabby Appleton's "Go Back" can be successfully edited from the LP version, or is there audio unique to the mono 45 that would not make this possible?

Go for it, Todd. I couldn't hear any significant differences between a fold-down of the vinyl stereo
LP track and the mono 45, aside from the latter's faded ending. Even the speeds are nearly identical.

The 45's fade begins at 2:40 and is out at 2:53.7.

Whenever I'm able get a dub of the 45, I just may try it. Thanks, Yah Shure!

i agree with yah shure.....my commercial 45 for the crabby
appleton song 'go back' states the run time on the label as
2:45 but actually runs 2:53 and is in mono....using the
'super hits of the 70's' cd as my sample.....if you fade
for 0:12 from 2:41 to 2:53, you effectively re-create the
vinyl 45 version.....pat....the db states that the super
hits of the 70's cd is the 'lp version', it really should
be noted as 'lp length', no?....

Since the LP ends cold and the 45 fades, I can see why Pat
put the "version" designation down.
