my commercial 45 for the zombies song "time of the season"
issued as date 1628 states the run time on the label as
3:32 but actually runs 3:31...the 3:29 run time versions in
the db fade out prematurely.....

Something I just noticed about the Zombies' "Time of the Season"... The database notes that the deluxe edition of the Odessey and Oracle CD on Fuel 2000 302061413 contains the "U.K. mono mix". I know this is the description on the CD jacket, but I'm curious to know if there is a discernible difference between the U.K. and U.S. mono mixes? Anyone know?

the U.K. mono mix has some organ sounds mixed way up front that are
buried in the stereo mix. The first one occurs at :53.

Thanks, David. I guess I should first ask if the U.S. 45 was issued in mono or stereo? If mono, then is it identical to the U.K. mono mix?
By the way, I was stunned to learn that "Time of the Season" never cracked the charts in the Zombies' native U.K.!

Tom, so as Todd asks, does the mono U.S. 45 match the U.K. mono mix, or
is it a fold-down of or does it reflect the stereo mix?

I don't have the UK 45, but to my ears the US mono 45 sounds like the stereo mix. My ears arent sharp enough to pick out mix subtleties though.

Did we ever figure out if the U.S. mono 45 mix was a fold-down of the stereo mix?

I had a dub of the 45 and just folded the stereo version.
It sounds like the 45 so I think it is a fold down.
