although not in the db because of it's low billboard
chart position of number 39 in 1965
my commercial 45 for the roy orbison song '(say) you're
my girl' issued as monument 891 lists
the run time on the label as 2:44 and does indeed run
that length...as compared to the cd version
on 'the monument singles the a-sides'......the 45
contains a 0:09 intro that is NOT on this cd...
also, the song is pitched up on the vinyl 45 as compared
to the cd version.....most of the stereo cd
versions run around 2:48 and are the correct version
except for the pitch....

So the stereo version on "Playlist - The Very Best Of Roy
Orbison" that includes the intro & clocks in just a
fraction over 2:44 may be a close representation?

I found this song on a 2003 budget Madacy CD titled The
Very Best Of Love (MEG2 3500). It has a dozen tracks
including this one running 2:44 with the intro. Catchy
song that should've been a bigger hit in the summer of '65.
