"Higher!", A 4CD Box Featuring The Best Of Sly And The Family Stone

This is great news Brian. Interesting they actually wrote
"77 tracks burned within 4 CDs."

If the set comes with mono, I think I'll pass.... I just got over a horrible cold that knocked me out flat for a week and a half....

Even though two or three of these mono singles have been
previously issued on CD, I might just get this box.

Thanks, Brian... I definitely am back to 100% now (or close to it, anyway).... strange weather patterns coupled with working outside a lot doesn't seem to help anything....

There is a single CD "sampler" also being released with several of the mono single mixes including "Everyday People" which is the one I've been waiting for.

Ah, thanks for reporting another intriguing new CD release, Indy500! According to Amazon, this single disc version of Sly & the Family Stone's Higher won't be available for sale until 8/27. Still, I look forward to picking up this compilation since this will be a far less expensive way to acquire the band's remaining Top 40 singles that I don't yet have in their mono 45 form than purchasing the 4-CD box set.

I was thrilled to see a single disc release. Personally I don't need 4 discs of Sly & the Family Stone. But I really wanted the mono "Everyday People" on CD. How does one make a 1969 comp without that song?
