My commercial 45, confirmed as United Artists 685, with deadwax info of
"ZTSP 91061-1B", has a listed time of (2:15), but an actual time of (2:18).
Also, a question. Many years ago, when I played the song on-air (from an
import CD I have - it's buried under five heavy boxes now, but I do know
where to get it, if I really need to). He was from the UK, and I remember
being upset that his only other US Hot 100 charter, "A Little Toy Balloon"
wasn't also on there), Also, I recall thinking that the version I just played
off of that CD wasn't the 1964 hit 45 version. Yet, when checking the
current db CDs just now, all three of them (all stereo, including an Eric
HTF CD Volume) have no "LP version" notation.
Of course, I may simply own a "stereo UK version" of the song, while all
1964 US 45 & LP versions have the same version. Does anyone have any
special recall or knowledge here, of a mono 45 vs. stereo LP version
difference for the song, before I do some major excavation? Thanks!
