Joel Whitburn lists the running time of the cassette single of Heavy D's hit "Big Daddy" as (3:53) which supposedly states "LP version" but on the parent cd, "Waterbed Hev" this song runs (4:09) so there is quite a time differential. Can anyone explain the differences between the cassette single timing and the cd timing for the LP version of this song?

I have a copy of the "remix" promo CD and the stock CD single. The stock CD single contains the "LP Version" running 3:53, so this is obviously not the true LP version. This 3:53 version also appears on the compilation "Heavy Hitz", and it would make sense that it matches the cassette single timing that Joel Whitburn reports.

Pat, it would probably make sense to add the comment "LP version" next to Waterbed Hev and "45 version" next to Heavy Hitz in the database.
