The LP version of "Love Theme From Eyes Of Laura Mars (Prisoner) runs 3:53 on Greatest Hits Vol. 2.
The 45 runs 3:37, give or take a second or two.
To recreate the 45 edit, cut off the first 16 seconds of the LP version and start on the word "I've".

This is indeed news, as the database does not indicate a LP version for
the lone CD appearance of the song. Also, the 45 label timing is 3:54.

Had a quick question. Does the intro on the 45 also have
the tail end of the piano note right before she starts
singing at :16 in?

No 100% sure; the needledrop cuts off the very, very
beginning. I'd assumed that it starts on the vocals.

This is odd as my commercial 45 runs (3:53) with matrix number 164353-1A. Are there dj copies that are shorter?

You read my mind. I don't know a lot of things about Barbra Streisand, but I do get the sense that she's someone who would never release a single with as clunky an
opening as that is with the piano note overlapping (not a commentary on Ron's editing).
The 45 is not on YouTube, so we can't check that. But if I were to bet, either the 45 opening was resung, or they used a track without the piano overlapping.

Hold the phone!
Apparently, the needledrop on my hard drive was in error.
So, everything I posted above is incorrect.
The 45 and the LP versions are the same.
Please accept my apologies in red and size=6...

My promo copy has a matrix # of 164353-1C on the stereo side
and 164353-1D on the mono side. Time on the stereo side is
3:54 listed, 3:52 actual. I did not time the mono side.
It was implied that the single has a cold intro...intro on my
copy is :16.

Sorry, Hykker. Everything runs around 3:52, both the LP and 45.
The single needledrop that I had was erroneous.
