You've probably already answered this for yourself, but just in case... This is one I just worked on this morning for myself. The 45 is a simple shaving off of the build-up intro and adding an early fade. I studied a few lo-fi YouTube files in determining this. This is the best one, but it runs a hair fast. If you re-create your edits based on the 'Glamorous Life' CD version, it will come out to 3:40 just like edtop40 stated above.
To re-create the 45 Edit:
1. Lop off the first 23.98 seconds of the file. The 45 begins on the true downbeat, no "Clap" or "jingle" percussion. Just straight in.
2. FROM THE RESULTANT FILE: Delete everything after about 3:40.5, after the line "I'm in love with the Belle of St Mark". You don't want any of the next line, "and if..." present in your edit.
3. Fade to taste. I did not study the fade on the 45 rips scientifically. For such a short song, I thought a short bell curve fade would do the trick starting at about 3:29, and I think it works fantastically to my ears.
