Couldn't find a thread on this song even though it hit #16 in 1989.

Does anyone know the particulars? The song runs 3:56 on the parent album,
Break of Hearts, but the only version available digitally is a 3:20 version that
sounds like it's an original recording and probably an edit.

Was there an LP/45 distinction for this song? Or maybe a UK single version?

Video seems to use the LP version.

Pretty cool forgotten song.

As I remember it, the album runs the same as the 45.
Right now, I only have the album.

Just logged into Napster. The 3:20 version from an album
called The Best Of Katrina And The Waves, I
believe, is a newer recording. The version of Walking On
Sunshine fades out at 3:40 which is 10 seconds than the
45 version.

If they are the original recordings, they may just be
faded out really early. Sorry I couldn't be of more
assistance.

Forgotten indeed. I gave it a listen and it didn't sound
the least bit familiar to me. And I was working at a Top
40 station in 1989!

Were you watching MTV? That's where it was on rotation
at the time.

Didn't have cable, and even if I did wouldn't have been
able to...MTV wasn't offered our cable system. I don't
know why.

It's always interesting to me which hits gets forgotten. I loved this record! It was a bit more rock than "Walking on Sunshine" but just as catchy.
