Might anyone have an original MGM 45 that you can post the
actual run time for?
I have a mp3 45 dub from unknown source and it runs
(2:21). All CD's in the database with the original
version run (2:27) so I figure that's a substantial
difference. My unknown 45 dub fades earlier.
Thanks

Mark,
Using this ewxcellent quality video as a guide, which runs
2:21, it looks like this, and your 45, is sped up. I sped
up my copy from Retrospective 4%.

Does this mean everything in the database is 'LP speed'?

John,
I don't think that video is a good reference for the
actual 45. The audio in that video is sped up much more
than any vinyl source I've heard. I think it was just sped
up for that particular filming.

Thanks, john. Now we have a Shure answer. :-)
BTW, I found my mp3 reference dub really runs 2:22.5 also.
I hadn't turned it up loud enough to hear the faint end of
the fade.
The CD's in the database run :05 longer but we don't know
if that's the LP length or a digital era thing. Owners of
Animals MGM LP's, I guess we need your help!
Thanks,
MM
