Does anyone know if the promo 45 of Heart's - I Want
You So Bad (Remix) Capitol Records – 7PRO-79311 ever
made it to digital format? I have a Uk Import cd of
Nothin' At All that includes a remix version of the song
but it is not identical to the promo 45. Any info is
appreciated.

Can you point out the specific differences between the various mixes? I'll try to pull out my copies tomorrow. I have two different promos, one without a designation on the label and one that says (7" Remix). I'm not sure if one or neither of these matches the stock 45 or if any of them match the UK CD single of "Nothin' At All."

The mixes are fairly similar until the area where the
vocals are mixed in over the original lp version around
the 3:08 area. The Uk import has added guitar and the
overlayed vocals are different when matched up in
audacity. I think the version on the UK import is much
more compressed than the 45. The 45 version is more
ambient and the uk version is flat to my ears. I think
all 4 US pressings (3 45s and the 12") are all the same
remix. I have 7PRO-79311 and SPRO-79262 and they are
the same.

Good ears on spotting the differences. We have three different mixes, all of which appeared on vinyl in 1988.
1) LP version
2) stock 45, promo 45 (no version listed on label), and promo 12" w/sticker that says "remixed for rock radio"
3) promo 45 designated on label as 7" Remix
#1 & #2 above sound identical up until 2:40. From this point until the end there are various places where the vocal take is different. The instrumentation sounds the same to me, though.
#3 above has a more compressed sound, different sounding snare hit, as well as guitar overdubs not on the other two versions. The vocal ad-libs toward the end are also slightly different from both #1 and #2 above. I have a digital file that I believe is from the import "Nothin' At All" CD, and this is the same 7" Remix as the promo 45.
The stock 45 version can be found on Hitmakers Vol. 2., as well as TM Century HitDisc 723. The Heart CDs I have this on (Bad Animals, Essential) are the LP version.
