For those of you interested in unique mixes, whether mono or stereo,
AnotherProf has recently posted the DJ 45 of this. I hear reverb that I don't
hear in the stereo, so it would make it a unique mono mix. Most DJ 45s of that
era seem to be fold-downs.

What I hear is that the edit is a split-second earlier than
the stereo version.

Anyone else notice that, too?

Andy, are you saying the only difference you detect is that the edit is slightly
earlier but there isn't a difference in reverb levels?

To EdisonLite:

Well, kinda.

When I cursorily compared the stereo 45 to the mono promo
45 the reverb didn't sound too different.

But keep in mind, my ears hear more reverb on the stereo
45 than the longer LP version. But I'm not sure if that's
due to mastering differences, mix differences, added
compression, more Aphex Aural Exciter, or my
imagination...

Great song.

Kinda on the subject.
I use Stereo Tool with Winamp, and you'd be surprised on
what you hear for the 1st time with some 70's and later
songs.
Echo or reverb you don't recall hearing before.
Sometimes very obvious edits in a single you might have
missed.
So using that or Aphex, it can reveal little tidbits not
heard until then.
Just a 2 cent drop in.
