That's interesting that the lead track running 3:44 on Paul Haney's promo CD single is listed as "Clean" because I've never heard anything that has struck me as "dirty" about the album version. Pat, I have the Def Jam promo CD for this one and it is the (3:44) version that also appears on Now 25. I don't listen to current Top 40 music much anymore, but each time I heard "Because of You" on my local rhythmic Top 40 station during the song's rise up the chart, it was the 4:25 album version. That should be the 3:44 "Remix Featuring Kanye West," which was the digital single version.

However, I don't know I'd call that the "hit version" -- doesn't look like the remix ever charted on the Hot Digital Tracks chart.
