Yes, my copy of OBA is styrene. Interestingly, all my other MGM singles, promo and stock from '70/71/72 are vinyl.

Did a quick check (this was easy since I file my 45s chronologically) and discovered that all my MGM (and MGM-distributed Kama Sutra) 45s from the last half of 1968 are styrene. Promos and stock.
1969 was a mixed bag...most promos were styrene, all stock copies were vinyl.

I think the statute of limitations is up on that one...he seemed to have disappeared from MGM promo copies sometime in mid-1968, right around the time that promos went from being vinyl to styrene (at least east coast ones...dunnow about elsewhere).

Seems to me we discussed this once before on the "Osmonds 45s" thread. :) My DJ 45 is on the yellow M-G-M '50s carryover promo label, dashes and all.

Except that, by this time, MGM had fired its special disk jockey, Leo the lion, who used to plug his own 45s in the empty space on the label's left side. :( At least that's the story I heard. There's also a rumor that Steve kidnapped Leo to serve as his BSN avatar. :) I'd done the same some years back over on the XMFan board. Leo needed the gig.

This one's also double-A stereo/stereo.

My promo copy of this has OBA on both sides, but has the blue and gold stock label (and no promotional markings). Both sides are stereo.

my commercial 45 for the osmonds song "one bad apple"
issued as mgm 14193 states the run time as 2:45 an does
indeed run that length and is slower than all the 2:43
running db entries....you'll need to pitch down the best of
cd version to 86 bpm's to match the pitch of the commercial
45...the commercial 45 is in stereo even though it doesn't
