If you are a paying subscriber to the database, you have just received an email with instructions on how to log back in. If you do not see the email, please check your junk folder.

If you did not receive the email in your inbox or your junk folder, it's possible I have an outdated or non-working email address for you. Please send me a message either here or to aaron@top40musiconcd.com, so I can update your profile with the correct address.

Your chat board login and password is still the same as it always was.

Thank you!

Looks good so far. Thanks.

One of the updates you will notice is a version table just below the song title. As of right now, all songs will say "No records found" under this section, as we will have to manually update this over time. To give you an example of what it will look like, you can search the database for "Lay Your Hands On Me" by the Thompson Twins. I have updated this so that the versions that used to be listed in a lenghty paragraph are now neatly summarized in the table. Here is what the previous note read:

dj copies of this 45 were mislabeled stating a running time of (3:44) with a stated "cold ending" on one side which actually ran (3:49) and faded out during a vocal segment, while the other side stated a "fade" with a running time of (3:44) which in reality included a cold instrumental ending that runs (3:54) and there is another dj cd single called the A/C mix which runs (3:52); commercial copies run (3:54) even though the label states a time of (3:44) and feature a cold instrumental ending and there appears to be a very few pressings of the commercial 45 that feature the A/C mix runing (3:52)

I think the new table is much easier to follow, and I hope you'll agree. In addition, I've added links to the "Lay Your Hands On Me" 45s on Discogs, so you can click the "P45" or 7" link under "Format" and it takes you to the Discogs page.

For those of us who are receiving the error message "Already Logged In" when you arrive at the Song Search page of the database, you can just ignore this message and click "New Search" from the menu bar. I had the developer create this workaround so you don't need to log out and then log back in. We will address this old bug that's been haunting us for decades during the next update.

One of our longtime users also reported that after he cleared his browser's cache, the error went away, so that could be a possible solution.

My developer just told me we should no longer see the dreaded "already logged in" error screen. Maybe we can all chip in and buy him a "programmer of the year" trophy.
