FREE DATABASE ACCESS

For the month of April, we are offering free database access! If you haven't been a member for a while, I invite you to see the latest site updates. If you've never been a paid subscriber, here's a chance to have a look around and see if you find the info valuable.

Our subscription price has been $29.95 per year for the last 20 years, and non-members can still take advantage of this low price by subscribing before the end of April. On May 1, we will have our first increase since 2004, at which time memberships will be $39.95 per year.

Please be aware that some email providers might still be blocking our automated emails, which will prevent you from setting up free access. We have been working on resolving this once and for all, but please report any issues you have.

UPDATE: As of this afternoon, our hosting company made some changes that seem to be working. I tested both Yahoo! and Hotmail email addresses a few minutes ago, and I was able to successfully receive the email.

Honestly, we have been long overdue for a database subscription price increase, especially given all of the out-of-pocket expenses that Aaron is no doubt incurring to redesign and maintain this website. Even at $39.95 per year, this is still quite a bargain! Subscribers easily gain many, many multiples worth of that value from the incredible wealth of information available in the database!

Funny, I was actually going to mention the inflationary factor myself, but then I thought I might risk losing some friends here by suggesting that I think the subscription rate would really be more appropriately priced closer to $50 per year, based on 2004 dollars! 😁

But seriously, Aaron, we should all be grateful that you were appointed to be Pat Downey's successor and that you've graciously accepted and embraced the many responsibilities that come with continuing to maintain this fantastic, one-of-a-kind database that will hopefully serve Top 40 music on CD collectors worldwide for many more years to come!

Sometimes just clicking "New Search" from the menu bar will clear that error. This is something we will clean up further in our phase two updates. It's not likely to continue happening, as we did a temporary fix yesterday, but let me know if it persists.
