I own the 12" single and I'm reasonably sure it's the same as the long promo 45 version (which is the LP mix but unedited).

When Jim sends you the 12-inch you can check if they're EXACTLY the same.

Aaron, I own two mint copies of the 12" single; they are both stock copies, but the one they sent to us at the station has (not surprisingly) a gold promo imprint pressed over the UPC symbol. Does anyone own the US 12" single? In addition to the "Mother of Mercy Mix," there is a non-described 4:07 version (listed time) on it. I'm wondering if it actually runs this length and is the same mix as the album version. If so, this would be the "long" side of the promo 45. Thanks to Jim's promo 45 info above, the database states the following comment for Billy Idol's "To Be a Lover":

(dj copies of this 45 run (3:50) and (4:06))
