This was <br />among many promos I took with me when I graduated. I <br />no longer have it other than in ripped digital form.<br /><br />It can be recreated from the LP version by cutting out <br />3:52 - 4:16. It starts with the snare after "...rather <br />be" and ends at the snare before "...tonight". Fade <br />starts at 3:59. By 4:11 song is completely faded. Last <br />distinguishable lyrics are "endlessly".<br /><br />Also, first post. Hi guys!]]>

The promo CD single released on Select SDS 001 contains the tracks: 1) Vocal, and 2) Instrumental, both running 4:38. I asked Jim about it and he tells me his promo CD single copy on Epic ESK-73879 contains one track running 4:35.  This appears to be identical to the single and album version.  So unless another promo single pressing is floating around out there, no short edit or length was issued for "Don't Want to Be a Fool".  Jim helps solve another mystery!<br /><br />I'll have information on a couple more promo singles coming real soon!... ]]>
