I'd have to agree with you on this one, Pat. It's a digital world we live in today. We all had some discussion about 12-inch singles a while back, and I don't know if we ever reached a concensus.

It seems to me that the top-selling downloaded version as listed on Billboard's Hot Digital Tracks (not Hot Digital Songs, which adds the versions together) is the "hit version," even if it's not the official single version.

Although the database does not mention it, DJ copies of Nelly Furtado f/Timbaland "Promiscuous" contain the "Radio Edit," which runs (3:42). The import CD single also has the "Radio Edit," as does the iTunes music store. Does this qualify for "45 version," given that the edit is commercially available on iTunes?
