Also, the Clean LP Version of Fu-Gee-La is taken from the edited LP. You can hear the previous skit tracking over the intro of the song, and the "n" word is reversed, just like on the clean album. Just wanted to bring up this thread once more to see if we can nail down some of the promo CD single run times for Fugees' "Killing Me Softly". Aaron mentioned the 1-track promo CD single contains the "Radio Edit" and runs 4:04.

Yes, we played the LP version without intro, but only for about a week. At first, our station played the LP Version w/out Intro. Once we received the Radio Edit about a week after adding the song, we started playing that version exclusively.

While it is true that the lead track tends to be the most commonly played version, that's not always the case. There are plenty of examples when we played a cut other than track 1. I just picked up the CSK 7847 Promo single (5 track mentioned above) hoping it had the "radio edit" but am happy to report I love the "Sound Barrier Remix." Very cool mix I never heard before and to get the clean version of "Fu-Gee-La" was an added bonus. I just dropped $200 bucks on some promo singles and it was well worth my money. I feel like a kid in the candy store. That edit was made by Jhani Kayne, former PD of KOST Los Angeles. It was made to fit the sound of KOST better and is in the master Clear Channel libarary. No need to track it down.
