I checked my promo copy of the 45, and it does have the applause and "Batman, Johnny" at the end. Maybe they're referring to reissue 45s?

Early issues of this on the gold back-to-back hits singles (gold label) do have the applause and "Batman baby!", though later issues on the black label with the car do not.

I have 2 copies of the original 45 - and both exactly match up with both your IM6187 # and version parameters, Pat. There is an interesting discussion on another chat board about the single "Secret Agent Man" by Johnny Rivers. One member claims that there is no audience applause on the ending of the 45 but there is audience applause on the ending of my original 45 with matrix number IM6187 which is not only printed on the record label but etched in the runout groove. Does anyone have this original 45 without audience applause on the ending?
