The 45 version (length) runs 5:07, while the longest CD versions tend to fade to about 5:04.  The last few seconds of the 45 are at an extremely low volume, so I can see why the CDs are faded a bit sooner.  I'm not aware of any discs that run 5:07.]]>

Not quite sure what the marketing plan was behind releasing a "long version" that was only like 10 seconds longer than the album version. ]]>

Same mix, different length.<br /><br />There are a bunch of compilations that all use the same analog transfer as <em>GH</em>:<ul><li>Time-Life's <em>Sounds Of The Eighties Vol. 27 Rolling Stone 1983-1985</em> (1995; digitally exactly 0.1 dB quieter)</li><li>Warner Special Products' 2-CD <em>Punk</em> (1996; how exactly are the Eurythmics punk?)</li><li>Sony Germany's 2-CD <em>Pop And Wave Vol. 7</em> (1997; differently EQ'd digital clone, with early fade from 4:51 to 4:55)</li><li>Time-Life's 2-CD <em>Body Talk Vol. 21 Hearts On Fire</em> (2000; digitally exactly 1.1 dB quieter)</li><li>Time-Life's 2-CD <em>Modern Rock Vol. 9 Mid-'80s</em> (2000; digitally exactly 1.5 dB quieter)</li><li>Time-Life's 2-CD <em>Modern Rock Vol. 21 Club '80s</em> (2001; differently EQ'd digital clone)</li></ul>All of the above have a tiny but real amount of tempo drift, from 126.4 BPM at the beginning to 126.6 BPM at the end.
